Roberto Clemente is a baseball legend and hero of the 20th century. During his long career, he has become the first Latin American player to score 3,000 hits while also becoming a passionate humanitarian. Unfortunately, he died in 1972, barely 38, when the plane he had rented to transport humanitarian aid to Nicaragua crashed.
