DESCRIPTION
1904. Louis Cartier granted the wish of his friend, the famous Brazilian aviator Alberto Santos Dumont: to be able to tell the time while flying. This was the birth of one of the first ever wristwatches. Featuring a geometric shape and exposed screws, the watch quickly became one of the Maison's watchmaking icons. The Santos rose to the ranks of a classic that would defy the hands of time.

Case in 18K pink gold, faceted crown set with a faceted sapphire, grey galvanised flinqué dial, Roman numerals, sword-shaped hands in rhodium-finish steel, sapphire crystal, strap in grey semi-matt alligator skin, double adjustable folding buckle in 18K pink gold, calendar aperture at 12 o'clock, power reserve at 6 o'clock, case dimensions: 38 mm x 47.4 mm, thickness: 9.3 mm. Water-resistant to 3 bar (30 metres/100 feet).
